‘Tom Clancy’s The Division’ PS4, Xbox One, PC Release Date Change: New Game Launch - 2015
The arrival of 'Tom Clancy's The Division', which is scheduled for 2015, was announced during Ubisoft's press conference at the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo some time ago.
Aside from that, Ubisoft provided a sneak peek which showcased some features of the game. The feedback from the audience at the expo resulted in some positive reports, the fans said the game "does it so much better than 'Destiny'" and that "Bungie[Destiny's game developer] is in a lot of trouble."
The most recent demo footage showed that the game's locations include Manhattan, New York. The developers feel that New York embodies a "dark and foreboding, domineering, yet awe-inspiring image of a long-deserted Madison Square Garden."
Furthermore, Ubisoft specially designed an engine to compliment the game, it's called Snowdrop. It will reportedly help in developing a "fully immersive" gaming experience as stated by Ubisoft Technical Director Anders Holmquist during the 2014 Game Developers Conference.
"We are trying to recreate the most detailed New York City ever shown in a video game. Snowdrop has many different tools that make it possible. With the building tech for example, we can create a huge, diverse, and detailed city, starting with just a limited amount of building blocks," according to Holmquist.
Unfortunately, 'Tom Clancy's The Division' has been delayed in its release date to sometime next year, 2015. It was originally slated for a launch by the end of 2014, but the developers felt they needed more time to perfect the graphics.
'Tom Clancy's The Division' will be a massive multiplayer online third-person shooter game developed by Ubisoft Reflections, Ubisoft Red Storm, Ubisoft Massive under the Tom Clancy brand for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
The game centers on a post-apocalyptic setting with the Strategic Homeland Division (SHD) that will try to alleviate society from the disease outbreak. It reveals how "vulnerable, fragile and complex the society has come to be after a tragic disease hits the United States which will lead to its downfall.
'Tom Clancy's The Division' will arrive on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 2015.
