TobyMac, Amy Grant, Newsboys, Kari Jobe & More Featured on 'My Hope: Songs Inspired by the Message and Mission of Billy Graham' CD Releasing Oct 15, 2013

'My Hope: Songs Inspired by the Message and Mission of Billy Graham' is set to release on October 15th to coincide with the My Hope America with Billy Graham evangelistic outreach and Billy Graham's upcoming book from W Publishing, The Reason For My Hope: Salvation and the Pure Flix Entertainment 3-disc DVD set My Hope America with Billy Graham which is available for pre-order now.

The My Hope soundtrack includes 12 new recordings from Christian music's biggest artists including Michael W. Smith, TobyMac, Amy Grant, Newsboys, Kari Jobe, Matthew West and more.

Each artist included on the soundtrack has a special connection with Billy Graham and each song is a tribute to the inspiring message and mission that is so close to the heart of Billy Graham.

"It's way more effective, I believe, than just a random time of trying to tell someone about Christ," said Jobe. "Those times work too, but I find that it's more effective if you know them and you're walking through life with them. Out of relationship, you're telling them about Jesus."

"The Cross is My Confession" on the upcoming album was co-written by Jobe and Matt Maher, the song was inspired by an old prayer.

"What an amazing opportunity, to sit and write for this project, just wrapping our minds around the message and the story of Dr. Billy Graham," Jobe said. "Just his heart for salvation, his heart for people to receive Christ and to know the power of the cross."

The My Hope projects hope to inspire believers and has grown to include more than 17,000 churches for this Fall.

"Everyone is just excited about what God's doing in the Kingdom and in the Church these days," Jobe said. She is even hosting her own My Hope event at her house this November.

"This is very much geared to my heart, because I still have family members that aren't living for the Lord," Jobe said. "And it seems way more personal to do it like that, instead of trying to get them to an arena or another church service."

The My Hope projects ultimate goal is to lead people to decisions for Christ and to get them into churches to be discipled. The project first aims to reach unbelievers right where they are, through friends  they already know, trust and are comfortable around.

"Some people feel like salvation or telling people about Jesus could be like cramming something down their throat," said Jobe. "But it's not that way if you know somebody and you can relate to what they're going through. People are broken, and they're hurting, and the answer for them to have hope is Jesus."
