‘TitanFall’ Xbox 360 Release Date October, ‘TitanFall 2’ Rumored Release Date in 2015
Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts released 'TitanFall: IMC Rising' on Tuesday for Xbox 360 while its sequel, 'TitanFall 2', is rumored to be launching sometime in 2015.
A month after becoming available on Xbox One and PC, the final DLC or downloadable game pack of 'TitanFall' finally came to the 360 on Tuesday. 'IMC Rising' is the final DLC for the game and features three maps, which are Backwater, Zone 18, and Sandtrap.
Respawn has shown continuous support for the game by providing general improvements through DLC expansions and free non-map and game-stabilizing updates. With the recent release of 'IMC Rising', JBG News surmised that it was likely that Respawn will now shift its focus to 'TitanFall 2'.
A person close to the development effort said that 'TitanFall 2' is already "in the planning stages," and GamesRadar claimed, supporting the theory of the game in the works. They stated that the game will most likely be heading to Playstation 4 as the multiplatform publishing rights falls to the game's publishing company, Electronic Arts.
However, exact release dates have yet to be confirmed. A possible 2015 release has remained speculation as there has been no official word from both Respawn and Electronic Arts.
During the company's Q4 financial briefing, chief executive Andrew Wilson said they are working on "new TitanFall experiences," Computer and Video Games reported. Despite being requested to make a statement, he fell short of mentioning any specific platforms, products or pending release dates.
The website also reported that Respawn may be working on a third-person action game. Respawn stated they were looking to hire senior animators, senior character artists, and more to add to their staff. Whether the new developments are geared for 'TitanFall 2' or a new game entirely is still unclear.
