Titanfall Expedition DLC Release Date on PC, Xbox One Land; Xbox 360 Available June 2014 [VIDEO]
After a series of teasers and snippets of details from game developers Respawn and Electronic Arts, Titanfall Expedition is now available on the PC and Xbox One.
Titanfall's first downloadable content (DLC) and a third update for the game was released May 15 and includes three additional maps Swampland, Runoff, and War Games.
Respawn's latest Titanfall update focuses on expanding the game play and not necessarily improving the storyline.
The three new maps offer unique environments allowing players to access different levels of challenges. According to Game Rant's review, Swampland offers thin forested environment allowing players to grapple on tree lines, while Runoff explores on "experimental designs" featuring multiple elevations of lengthy and open walkways.
On the other hand, War Games is called "parkour playground" due to its unrestricted physical battlefield providing flexibility in map navigation.
Electronic Arts recently gave a strong indication that there would still be further development in Titanfall and there is a distinct possibility of a sequel for the PS4.
Respawn tweeted May 16 that it will be removing CTF and Pilot Hunter but they will still be available in Private Matches and Variety modes.
Map packs are available from Titanfall's official website for $9.99 while the Titanfall season pass is priced at $24.99.
Some of the highlights of Titanfall DLC release include custom load outs, last game summaries, level statistics, extreme frame-rate support for PC versions, scoreboard controls, and new chat icons among others. Due to delay for improvements, Titanfall for the Xbox 360 is rumored to be available in June 2014.
