'Titanfall 2' Game Release Date Rumors: Sequel Possibly Planned As Original 'Titanfall' Gears Up For PS4
The popular Xbox and PC title 'Titanfall' has only been released for a few months now, since March, and news is already spreading about a sequel. The first game, 'Titanfall' was exclusive to Xbox and PC users, but the sequel will soon cater to Playstation gamers as well, barring that negotiations between Sony and Microsoft make headway.
'Titanfall' for the Xbox One and PC was regarded as the 'Call of Duty' killer solely due to its multiplayer aspect. Sure enough, the game was well-received and sold almost a million copies in the month it went out in stores. A month after its release, a version for the Xbox 360 went out as well.
In order to make 'Titanfall' for the Playstation 4, Sony and Microsoft will have to settle some kind of deal before putting the game into production. The deal will not make 'Titanfall' PS4 exclusive, but offer Sony oriented gamers a chance to play the game on their consoles.
Rumors about the sequel say that the 'Titanfall' name will once again be published by Electronic Arts (EA). An EA representative told IGN during the original 'Titanfall' release that there is nothing solid to offer fans in terms of information about a sequel, he said "Right now all our focus is on supporting all the fans worldwide enjoying Titanfall." This means that they will most likely try to strike a deal with Sony to bring 'Titanfall' to its consoles.
'Titanfall 2' release is still not yet confirmed, but there are already rumors that the game is currently being planned. The most recent reports, concerning the matter, say that Respawn Entertainment, the creators of 'Titanfall', are establishing a new agreement with EA over the alleged sequel.
