Tim Tebow Praised by Chuck Norris? Norris Sees Himself in Tebow, See Full Article

Tim Tebow doesn't seem to have a lot of people of influence on his side right now to help him get a new job in the NFL, but one of America's most beloved tough guys is now speaking up for Tebow. His name is Chuck Norris.

Chuck Norris wrote an article for Newsbusters and describes how he sees a lot of himself in Tebow.

Norris writes, "Tebow is a player who rises to the occasion and delivers big in critical moments. He reminds me of myself when I used to compete in martial arts. I would spar with my black belts in class, and sometimes they would outscore me. Yet in the tournaments, I would defeat them. My students used to ask me, "Why is it that we can contend equally against you in class but can't beat you in the tournaments?" My answer was always the same: "When it counts, I rise to the occasion."

This seems to be the biggest thing that NFL people always seem to overlook about Tebow and I am glad Chuck Norris has the guts to speak about it as well.

Everyone knows how much Tebow got trashed by the Jets for his play on the practice field and I love the comparison that Norris makes to himself about stepping up when competition comes around. It is ironic that even the Jets players would say that he was "terrible" in practice, yet Tebow BEAT that same Jets team the year before as a quarterback. I'm not sure how the critiscm can add up.

Tebow was a terrible practice player in Denver as well and that is why he started out his incredible season as the 4th string quarterback.

Norris thinks the best fit for Tebow in the NFL right now would be the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have shown no interest in Tebow this year and the only one who really wants him in town seems to be the owner unfortunately.
