Tim Tebow News: rumors for the former Jets quarterback: Tim is a good player but sometimes its not enough

After being released from the New York Jets on April 29 following the selection of Geno Smith in the 2013 NFL draft, Tim Tebow finds himself without a place to call home as the NFL begins to prep for the 2013 NFL season.

One consistent storyline you'll come across when looking into Tebow's future in the NFL is a potential position change, but Tebow seems to be sticking to his guns in terms of remaining at the quarterback position.

There's always plenty of news on Tebow, but I've sifted through the rubble to bring you the most relevant football-related updates and rumors for the former Jets quarterback.

Those are the words of Hall of Famer Warren Moon, according to ESPN:

You have to be able to throw the ball up there, if anything. They throw the ball a lot. It's only three downs, so the passing game is much more important up there, and there's a lot more field to cover.

If you can't throw the football, it doesn't matter where you play quarterback. You have to be able to throw it. That's his biggest problem, just being able to complete passes, be an accurate passer. I think he's a really good athlete playing the position, but I don't think that's enough sometimes.

Since being released from the Jets, the CFL has become a popularly speculated landing spot for Tebow, and ESPN's SportsCenter Twitter account is even reporting that Tebow has received an offer to play.

At this moment, the petition has 329 signatures -- far below the 100,000 required by May 30 foran official response from the White House (and also way behind the 4,600-plus people who want the U.S. to merge with Australia to formAmeristralia).

But if the Tebow supporters are looking for any moral victories (not to be confused with all the real ones he led the Denver Broncos to in 2011), they can take comfort in knowing that their petition will soon have more signatures than the one looking for Mister Rogers' birthday to become a national holiday, as well as the one demanding that President Obama attend a professional ultimate Frisbee game.
