Tim Tebow News: ESPN Co-Host Believes He Can Still Make It In the NFL

Tim Tebow recently revealed that he believes he will one day become a starting quarterback in the NFL. All this was mentioned during his visit to Tennessee to promote his upcoming gig as co-host for the SEC Network (ESPN's college football network that specializes in SEC division).

"I'm training every day and feel like I'm the best that I've ever been," said Tebow, according to The Tennessean. "I still love it, love playing, talking about it, and I'm just excited about whatever the future holds. Who knows what could happen? But I'm excited about it, though."

It was just announced Tebow will co-host with Joe Tessitore, Paul Finebaum and former NFL athlete Marcus Spears, when "SEC Nation" debuts in August. The former Florida Gators athlete explains how the Southeastern Conference is different than any other division in the NCAA college football league.

"You have to start out with how the SEC is different," said Tebow. "It's different because of its passion, its tradition and the love for all of the teams; the good ones, the bad ones, it doesn't matter. There is still so much passion for every team, and that's different from every other conference. It's fun to be a part of that. I've been a part of it my entire life."

Tebow also talked about looking forward to the future Vanderbilt-Ole Miss game, when the show broadcasts at the LP Field in Nashville, Tennessee on September 6.

"It's going to be a big game for Mississippi and for Vanderbilt," said Tebow. "You've got a Mississippi team that has had great recruiting, and everyone hasn't necessarily lived up to their potential. But I think Hugh Freeze is a good coach and I think [QB] Bo Wallace is going to have a good year. It's going to be a good game for these teams because you've got a Vanderbilt team that's coming off one of the best seasons it's had in beating Tennessee, Florida and Georgia in the same year. Are they going to be able to have the same caliber of team with a new coaching staff? It's going to be really interesting to see."

The weekly "SEC Nation" show debuts on the brand new SEC network on Saturday, August 14.

Tebow's new ESPN contract would not prevent him from returning to the NFL, according to a previous ESPN announcement.
