Tim Tebow Delivers Pep Talk to Wichita State Men's Basketball Team

Never too shy for a good pep talk, Tim Tebow is the Wichita State men's basketball team's newest fan. After their surprise victory against top-seeded Gonzaga in the NCAA tournament the team had an unexpected rendezvous with the Heisman Trophy winner.

The bus carrying the team arrived at the same time, a plane carrying the New York Jets quarterback stopped to refuel. After the Shocker' buss arrived a Tebow representative asked Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall if the football star could speak to the team.

Tebow then jumped on the team bus, grabbed a microphone and told the players the their surprising run to the Sweet 16 will be an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives, regardless of whether or win or lose future games. A symbol for hope and triumph, Tebow told the team they're an inspiration for many people across the nation.

Wearing a pink sweater on top of a tie and untucked shirt, Tebow seemed reminiscent of his University of Florida days when he addressed the Wichita State team.

"Some of you might go play in the NBA or you might have great lives. But this is the time you will remember," Tebow said. "All of you all together, ballin' out there together, training together, putting in the heart and sweat, everything, caring about each other. You'll never forget it, guys."

After Tebow's words of encouragement, the team headed to the Koch Arena where thousands of supporters had gathered to greet the team.

Tune in Thursday night to see the Wichita State Shockers face off La Salle in Los Angeles.
