The Spurs are looking to defend their home court against the Thunder on Wednesday night, after defeating the Thunder by a score of 122-105 two nights ago. In Game 1, Tim Duncan scored 27 points to lead San Antonio to the victory. Spurs are seeking to win their first NBA championship since 2007 and their fifth title overall.
"They're not going to be stopped but if those kinds of players can be made to work hard and just take something away, it can work to your advantage," said Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich to reporters in reference to the Thunder's potent offense.
The Thunder are looking to defeat the Spurs on the road when the two teams battle each other again in the NBA Playoffs Western Conference Finals this evening. In Game 1, Kevin Durant totaled 28 points and 9 rebounds in losing effort for the Thunder.
Thunder superstar Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are attempting to win the first championship of their NBA careers and the franchise's first title since 1979 when the team was previously known as the Seattle SuperSonics.
"I don't necessarily say we have to be perfect, just get it done," said Westbrook to reporters. "Whatever we need to do to get it done. There will be times when they're going to make plays. They're a great team. There will be times that we're going to make plays. But we've just going to continue to stay with it."
Game 2 will start at 9:00 p.m. ET and can be viewed on TV on the TNT network or online through live stream by clicking here.
