'Thor: Ragnarok' News: Upcoming Film Sees Thor, Hulk’s Alliance In Outer Space

With Taika Waititi's upcoming Marvel Comics film "Thor: Ragnarok," it is revealed that Thor and the Hulk are set to join forces.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is set to see Thor and the Hulk as cosmic buddies, according to Comic Book Resources. As per the publication, Mark Ruffalo, who is playing Hulk's role in the film, has revealed that the forthcoming film is a universal road movie that centered on the dynamics between the Norse god of Thunder and the green giant.

Marve Studios head Kevin Feige also teased that "Thor: Ragnarok" was not only set on Earth. In his interview with Empire, he said that there were only a couple of scenes on Earth in the movie and 80 to 90 percent of it took place in the cosmos. As per the publication, this is the prime reason why Natalie Portman's Jane Foster and Stellan Skarsgard's Erik Selvig are not set to return to the film.

Directed by Waititi, "Thor: Ragnarok" stands as the third installment of the "Thor" film franchise.

The film stars Chris Hemsworth as the titular god of Thunder while Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Loki. Other cast members include other A-list actors like Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Karl Urban, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, and Cate Blanchett. Ruffalo is also reprising his role as Bruce Banners, also known as the Hulk, in the film.

As per Gold Coast Bulletin, the Gold Coast is set to be Marvel's center, since the cast members line up on the city for a "gladiator-style" showdown. As per the publication, the production is set to complete on of the outdoor sets on the lot of Village Roadshow Studios in Oxenford.

Waititi's "Thor: Ragnarok" is slated to be released in theaters in the United States on Nov. 3, 2017.
