'Thor: Ragnarok' Cast, Rumors: Cate Blanchett May Be A Villain In The Film [Trailer]

Cate Blanchett was reportedly cast in the third Thor movie entitled "Thor: Ragnarok." Many believed that she was brought in by the producers as one of the good guys on the film but after hearing what Mark Ruffalo had to say about her at the BAFTA Awards Season Tea Party, it looks like she's going to be one of the big bads!

The 48-year-old Ruffalo may have said enough information for us to tell that Blanchett is going to be a villain in the next Thor film.

"I saw her at the Governors' banquet here and heard that maybe she was circling, they were talking to her about the part, so I ran up to her and I was like, 'Please, please, please make this work!'" Ruffalo told ET. "She's just one of the best, and to have her play a baddie is going to be really exciting," and that's how he might have spilled the beans.

According to Cinema Blend, the 46-year-old Blanchett always wanted to be a part of a superhero movie so that she could have a definitely good reason to get in shape and punch people.

Also, it was reported that Tom Hiddleston will return to reprise his role as Loki and Mark Ruffalo will also be in the movie as Hulk. Producer Kevin Feige said that the third movie is going to be totally different from the past Thor movies.

"We want to take it to new places, we've got new characters that will show how big we're swinging on this. And we have a Hulk," he stated.

"Thor: Ragnarok" open in theaters November 3, 2017.
