'Thor 3: Ragnarok' Plot Rumors: Chris Hemsworth Details Comic-Based Armageddon Story
Marvel is gearing up for three major franchise additions, namely 'Avengers: Age of Ultron', 'Captain America 3', and 'Thor 3'. Actor Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor, spoiled that the next installment of the famed Asgard god will be dealing with Armageddon, a possible end of the world based on the comic version.
In his interview with Screenrant, Hemsworth said, "I think that in the comic book the sort of end of days, Armageddon aspect is probably the direction in which it will all head in. Where it's sort of the end of all things and there's obviously no script or anything when I read the comic books I thought it was an interesting way to go.
Hemsworth might be referring to Ragnarok, a term used in the visual novel uniquely identifying the end of Asgard. Executive producer Craig Kyle said that Ragnarok will play a critical part in 'Thor 3' though he did not confirm rumors that it would be listed as the film's subtitle.
Kevin Feige, president at Marvel Studios, told ComingSoon, "[Kyle's] creative instincts have helped shape 'Thor' and 'Thor: The Dark World' at every level of the filmmaking process. The entire team at Marvel is very happy to continue collaborating with Craig as he continues as a screenwriter working with Christopher on the forthcoming chapter of Thor's adventure."
On a side note, while Hemsworth reprises his role as Norse God of Thunder, Natalie Portman's participation remains vague at this point.
