'Thor 3' Premiere Date, Spoilers: Chris Hemsworth Returning as Thor, Ragnarok Plot Line

Marvel movies are always exciting for comic book fans and non-fans alike, but when there are major compilation films like in the 'Avengers' franchise, it is imperative that some of the characters have an established backstory such as Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor. The backstory for Iron Man may already be finished with 'Iron Man 3', but the two other Avengers, Captain America and Thor, might still get a third movie to wrap up their backstories.

For the third Thor movie, there are already rumors and speculation going on as to what story arc will be this time. As far as the comic book goes, the possibilities are limitless, but the producers and writers might have something different in store for the fans.

Just recently, there were images of a female Thor circulating in the Internet as well as on Facebook. This new take on the comic book Thor is rumored to have an impact on the next Thor film, but these were soon dispelled as false.

In 'Thor 3', it is confirmed that actor Chris Hemsworth will be returning as Thor in the movie. The female version of Thor, as it turns out, will be in another timeline in the comic universe or is simply random gender-swap art.

Other mainstay characters such as Jane Foster played by Natalie Portman, and Loki played by Tom Hiddleston will also be returning to the third Thor movie. New characters will be introduced in 'Thor 3' such as the Enchantress, a villainess in the comic books. Balder, another Asgardian will also be making an appearance in the movie.

As for the storyline, there is speculation that the film will be focused on Ragnarok, the Norse End of Days (or Apocalypse). Ragnarok is rumored to begin in the Tree of Yggdrasil, the fabled tree of life for the Norse mythology.

The film could be seeing a 2017 premiere date, but this is still unconfirmed.
