'The Young and The Restless' Spoilers: Billy Abbot gets 'No Closure'
Hit daytime television show "The Young and The Restless" is having a bit of a casting shake up. A different actor will be taking over the role of Billy Abbot, currently played by Billy Miller. Who is this different actor? Fans will find some comfort, as a familiar face will now be playing Billy Abbot; actor David Tom.
David Tom, who played Billy Abbot back in 1992, is excited to reprise his role.
"It feels totally comfortable and I'm smiling from ear to ear. It's like I'm still waiting to snap out of a dream. It's so great to be back working with Peter Bergman [Jack] and Jess Walton [Jill], again. And, of course, there are so many people who are new to me. Twelve years away will do that! When I left, Billy was more of a boy. Now I get to play him as an adult, with all his adult problems. I'm stepping into some really big shoes here," the actor said during an interview with TV Guide.
Tom went on to praise the actor currently portraying Billy Abbot, Billy Miller.
"Billy Miller is a great actor who did an amazing job in the part. I definitely have some challenges. Fans can be resistant to change but I think they'll be happily surprised at what's coming up," he said.
Tom also revealed some spoilers about Billy when speaking to TV Guide. He explained how Billy copes with the knowledge of Adam being responsible for Delia's death.
"There's certainly no closure, but there's a change in the depth of his anger," he said.
