The Young and the Restless Cast News, Spoilers: Adam Newman Returns at Funeral?

Fans of the popular long running soap opera "The Young and the Restless" will see Adam Newman return this week.

Adam will set up cameras to witness his family members Victor (played by Eric Braeden), his wife Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and his infant son Connor attend his "funeral" service after he staged his own death.

Some fans believe actor Michael Muhney was wrongly fired because they do not think the 38-year-old performer committed that heinous crime against King. In addition, some fans blame Muhney's onscreen dad and co-star Braeden for his exit from the show after playing as Newman since 2009.

"how is @MichaelMuhney doing after you caused him to be fired?," wrote a fan on Twitter to Braeden on May 9.

Braeden, who played the role of Victor Newman on the CBS soap opera since 1980, issued the following response to the fan via his Twitter account.

"you are totally uninformed, you idiot," wrote the 73-year old German actor.

After that response, Twitter exploded with "The Young and the Restless" fans criticizing the longtime actor's remarks.

"SO CLASSY A MAN OF YOUR AGE CALLING A FAN AN IDIOT.. FINGER POINTING WILL GET YOU NOWHERE. P.S. VICTOR TURNED JERK," wrote a Twitter user.

Braden then issued a response to the Twitter user that shows both parties will definitely will not be exchanging Christmas card in the future.

"I couldn't care less what you think!! Would never have called someone that if they hadn't made an accusation 1st! get it strait," tweeted Braeden.

"The Young and the Restless" airs Weekdays at 12:30 pm ET on the CBS network.
