The Witcher 3 Release Date PS4, Xbox One, PC Gameplay Trailer Video: Leaked Closed Door E3 2014 Demo Showcase Revealed
The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is expected to launch, February 24, 2015 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Leaked footage of the third installment of the The Witcher series stems from a closed door E3 showcase. The video displays changes to the game's user interface as well as an improvement in graphical elements and textures.
The cinematic begins in the swamplands where Geralt searches for an ashen-haired woman. As he scours for clues as to her whereabouts, he encounters a godling named Johnny. The peculiar boy like creature knows the location of the woman, but is unable to speak and direct Geralt in the right direction. An agreement is struck and the boy will aid Geralt in his quest on the condition that the veteran swordsman help him in return.
The duo is shown traversing through the marshes and fending off packs of monsters. It is at this point that the viewers get to see a first hand look at The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt's combat and magic spell system. The water and flame effects are evidently improved upon since the last installment in the series.
For a brief moment the viewers of this leaked footage have the chance to see the user interface (UI) which is enabled by the pause button. This menu allows the player to customize items and review Geralt's passive traits, such as resistances and life points. Due to the navigation options at the bottom of the character menu, it seems as though this video is taken from the PS4 or Xbox One version.
