Winds of Winter Release Date: George RR Martin Teases There Are More Deaths to Come

Following the conclusion to Season 4 of HBO's hit series Game of Thrones, fans are looking to answers their questions by turning to George R.R Martin's novels.

While the creator behind Games of Thrones is known for his slow pace when writing his lengthy novels, the book series already extends past the TV show.

However, some fans are up to date with the text series and are looking for the next installment, The Winds of Winter, which is rumored to be released in October 2017.

Martin mentioned that the story is going to kill off some major characters:

"I think we're gonna start out with a big smash with the two enormous battles. We have more deaths, and we have more betrayals. We have more marriages," the American author stated in an interview with Entertainment Weekly,

The author also hinted about a Dothraki come-back, and that various events will happen at "The Wall."

He also had this to say about both Tyrion and Daenerys, "Tyrion has decided that he actually would like to live, for one thing, which he wasn't entirely sure of during the last book, and he's now working toward that end-if he can survive the battle that's breaking out all around him. And Dany has embraced her heritage as a Targaryen and embraced the Targaryen words. So they're both coming home."

As it stands now, The Winds of Winter has no official release date.
