Josh McDermitt, who plays Dr. Eugene, on AMC's hit zombie drama The Walking Dead, has been spotted filming on set for Season 5, and caught acting in a heart-pounding scene that will surely have viewers on the edge of their seats.

The Spoiling Dead Fans mentioned that TWD cast and crew were set up to film near an Easy Shop supermarket. One of their Facebook posts revealed what was witnessed and how Dr. Eugene find himself in a dangerous situation.

The Facebook post reads, "A scene was being filmed involving Eugene. He was running/limping and yelling "help me" as 3 walkers chased him. This was shot multiple times."

Fans of the show can instantly see how this may spell out an early death for the character in the upcoming season. Dr. Eugene is evidently not as proficient in putting down deadly walkers as Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) or Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus)

Also on the set in full costume were Steven Yeun (Glenn Rhee) and Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene).

Early speculation pegged Glenn as the one who would die in The Walking Dead Season 5. However, now that Steven was seen in Glenn's costume, it seems unlikely that he'd be the one to be killed off in the new episodes.

The Hollywood Reporter asked comic book writer and executive producer of The Walking Dead about the rumors of Glenn's death in Season 5. He said, "I absolutely love it. It means people care and people are paying attention. So keep those rumors flying!"

AMC's The Walking Dead Season 5 episodes airs on AMC this October.
