‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5 Spoilers, Recap: Episode 4 Centers on the Return of Beth Green
'The Walking Dead' Season 5 returns to AMC on November 2 with its fourth episode entitled, "Slabtown." This time around, the focus is taken off Rick's group, and put onto Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) who disappeared last season.
Fans can expect to learn what happened to Beth right after she was kidnapped by a strange car in Season 4 Episode 13 entitled, "Alone."
Stepping into the latest episode, "Four Walls and a Roof," viewers can recall that an end was put to Gareth and his Terminus cannibals. Rick kept his promise and took out the ring leader with the red machete.
Beyond that, Bob Stookey bought the farm and slowly faded away as he said goodbye to his group, and left Rick with some words of wisdom. Soon after, Tyreese made sure that Bob would not "turn" and did what Bob would have wanted, killed him.
Moving on, the next episode of 'The Walking Dead' shows Beth Greene waking up alarmed in a hospital of some sort.
"Slabtown," refers to a place in downtown Atlanta that used to be a "red-light district" where the Grady Memorial Hospital currently stands. Judging by the title and what can be learned from the episode's promotional clips, the segment will primarily revolve around the hospital.
The sneak peek video shows Beth opening her eyes in an unfamiliar place and becomes rattled as she realizes she has no idea where she is. In a state of panic, she attempts to rid herself of the hospital bandage that had been applied to her arm.
When she tries to escape the hospital, a massive group of "walkers" prevent her from doing so, forcing her to return back inside.
After that, things are slightly cleared up as a doctor and a female officer explain that she was found by the side of the road, wounded and surrounded by "rotters."
The officer explains to Beth that she is now "part of a system" and "every sacrifice needs to be for the greater good," and then slaps her in the face to help the message sink in.
Beyond that, the episode synopsis reveals that Beth will be joining another group of survivors that have their own "dark side."
Watch out for 'The Walking Dead' Episode 4, "Slabtown," which airs on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 9 pm on AMC.
