The Walking Dead Season 5 Spoilers, Latest: Shocking Event to Take Place, Says Exec Producer Kirkman
The Walking Dead Season 5, which will premiere this October 2014, will have a major death in the very first episode. It is sure to be heart breaking for fans of AMC's hit zombie drama, but executive producer/show creator Robert Kirkman has already confirmed it.
Kirkman recently disclosed information to Entertainment Weekly Radio about Season 5. At first, the producer teased the fans, "In our premiere episode of season 5 we're going to give a ton of answers of who the people of Terminus are, what they're doing, why they're doing it, what's going on with them," Kirkman said.
He continued on by saying, "and by the end of that episode you're going to have a much better understanding of what's going on with them and why they're so important to the show," but the biggest revelation of all was when Kirkman said, "Oh, and Daryl dies."
Well, the show creator himself absolutely did not leave room for any doubt. It was as clear as a crystal, Daryl Dixon will die in the very first episode of Season 5. The character is played by Norman Reedus who unfortunately for his fans will be killed off in the series.
The character's death may be a sign that the show is nearing and end. Season 5 could mark the final season in the franchise, but Kirkman says otherwise.
"I'm still doing the comic and plan in doing it for many, many years. And right now the issues that we are doing as we speak is material that could be adapted into a season 10, 11, or 12 depending on how we adapt things. And we're not stopping. So five years for now we'll be doing comics that could be for season 15. Now, it's unrealistic to think it can go for that long, but if the show remains successful, the potential is there for that.... All that said, I'm just hoping and praying we make it to season 7," he explained to Entertainment Weekly Radio.
