The Walking Dead Season 5 Spoilers: 'Best Scripts So Far' Promised By Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon)
Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon, on AMC's hit zombie drama The Walking Dead, has spoken with Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming Season 5. Reedus promises big things for the latest installment of the series which is set to air this October.
Filming for The Walking Dead Season 5 is well underway and actor Norman Reedus on set in Georgia had some exciting things to say about the next set of episodes.
"These scripts are the best scripts so far, and I'm really just excited to be back at it," Reedus told Entertainment Weekly, "There are a lot of characters right now, so there are a lot of really different personalities on set. And it's super interesting, everyone's really bringing it. It's going great. It's so dynamic because it's so fast-paced and so complicated. It's great to be back."
Entertainment Weekly asked Reedus about Rick Grimes' rebound back into the flow of things. Fans are used to seeing a moping and depressed Rick Grimes on the show, but Reedus has admitted that the once burly and brutish Grimes has returned, "Everybody on the whole team is so bada** right now," said Reedus, "It's interesting, because a lot of personalities are clashing, or characters' personalities are clashing. But yeah, we definitely have Rick back."
A change in command in the show's inner workings is definitely worth mentioning, Scott M. Gimple has taken over as the The Walking Dead's top showrunner. Reedus had this to say on the matter, "Yeah, it's great," and "Scott, he's so good at his job, and he's such a great storyteller and such a good writer. He has this thing planned out to the end, I think. He's definitely very qualified for the job. I never felt like we weren't stable, though. I feel like we're as stable as we ever were, just we have the confidence that we have this team back. It's such a well-oiled machine right now. It's great, and everyone feels super confident."
