Fans of AMC hit zombie-drama 'The Walking Dead' are eagerly awaiting the October 12 release of Season 5. On that note, fans were recently treated to some spoilers about the upcoming installment at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego, California.

A few weeks ago, some of 'The Walking Dead' cast and crew showed up for a panel to promote their upcoming season and to give anxious fans a breath of fresh air, in terms of what to expect when the show returns.

According to show runner Scott Gimple, the story of Terminus, and how it originated, will be revealed when the series returns. He also made mention that Rick's group will somehow escape the train car, but did not say when that would happen. Some think they will escape in the opening scene of the season premiere, while others think the survivors may spend a bit of time in there before getting out.

Last season, fans witnessed the deaths of major and minor characters, one being Herschel, others being Lizzie and Mica. In terms of characters deaths in Season 5, producer Gale Ann Hurd revealed that fans can expect a major character loss, but did not mentioned who it would be. Aside from that, she said that some of the deaths in the new installment will be memorable.

Stepping away from the show's chilling attacks and murders, romance is also set to be involved in Season 5. Rumor has it that Beth will return to the show and a new love interest will be waiting for her. In terms of casting, Seth Williams is set to join the cast as Gabriel Stokes.
