'The Walking Dead' Season 5 Release Date, Spoilers: 'We Will See Normal Rick Again'
This week marked the end of the fourth season of "The Walking Dead." The season finale left many fans wondering what will happen next.
Walking Dead Deason five is expected some time later this year in the fall, although a precise date has not be confirmed yet. For Season 5spoilers from executive producer Robert Kirkman and showrunner Scott Gimple, read on.
If you have not yet seen the season four finale, be warned this article contains spoilers from that episode.
Robert Kirkman recently told TV Guide that viewers can expect more sets in the upcoming season.
"Season five will probably have more distinctive individual locations than we've had on the show thus far. There will be a lot of different places we explore in Season five," the executive producer said.
Scott Gimple went into detail about specific characters when discussing season five with TV Guide. He explained that fans will get to see Rick be himself again in the next season.
"We will see normal Rick again, but I think this will be the new normal. I don't know if Rick really lost it. If we're talking about the Claimers, he did what he had to do. Things were about to get much, much worse. The steps that he took saved Daryl, Michonne, Carl and himself. The next day, when he's sitting with Daryl, you see a Rick who is very much coming to terms with those two sides of his personality," Gimple said.
Season five of "The Walking Dead" is expected to premiere in the fall of 2014.
