'The Walking Dead' AMC Season 5 2014 Release Date: Series To Premiere October 12, Terminus Story to be Revealed
AMC's post-apocalyptic zombie thriller, 'The Walking Dead', is without question one of the most memorable television dramas of the decade, and its fifth season is set to premiere on October 12.
'The Walking Dead' Season 5's full house cast and producers graced the San Diego Comic-Con last week to satisfy mounting curiosity about its upcoming season, and to answer questions from its countless fans. The show's characters, Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Glenn (Steven Yeun), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Carol (Melissa McBride), Tyreese (Chad Coleman) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), as well as executive producers Dave Alpert, Gale Anne Hurd, Robert Kirkman, and Greg Nicotero were all present to sit on the show's panel.
During the event, the cast and crew revealed the official trailer for its fifth season, along with some concerning information. Apparently, the show's forthcoming season will be aired in two segments, the first eight episodes, then the rest of Season 5 starting February, 2015.
Executive producer Scott Grimple divulged that the latest season will be showcasing the story of Terminus, and how it happened, while show runner Greg Nicotero hinted that the show will be having an underwater episode wherein the main characters will have an encounter with bloated "walkers."
It was also disclosed that the cast and production crew were working on the 7th episode of the season during the time of the Comic-con event. With only a couple of months left before the premiere of 'The Walking Dead' Season 5, the show's panel assured fans they're in for some big surprises upon its return.
