'The Voice' News: Rita Ora Talks About 'The Voice' to X-Factor

Rita Ora, the former judge on The Voice, and the newest member of X-Factor's panel of judges, has revealed why she decided to depart from the BBC talent show to its rival on ITV.

Ora's reasoning is not as interesting as fans of the star might have hoped.

Speaking at the O2 Silver Clef Awards, Ora blamed scheduling for her decision to switch shows, saying that it had nothing to do with any kind of tension with her former colleagues on 'The Voice'.

"It's nothing to do with any of the coaches personally," said Ora. "I love them all. But it's definitely something to fit in with my timetable and my schedule."

The star made this comment while picking up her Vevo Best Female Prize at the awards on Friday. "It just works for me, you know?" she continued. "And that experience I had with The Voice is surreal."

Ora just served as a judge on 'The Voice' for one season. She previously was featured on The X-Factor as a guest judge in 2012.

The star will begin her new gig on X-Factor on Monday, when the talent show's auditions begin in Manchester for four days, before moving down to London for seven days beginning on July 14th.

Ora added that she cannot wait to begin work on The X-Factor. She did not give any hint to viewers about what they will be able to expect from the show once she is on it.

"You'll have to watch it - it's going to be great though, it's going to be fun," said Ora. "The most important thing is we find talent and we have fun, that's all it is."
