Season 6 of 'The Vampire Diaries' is one its way, but the fans are already hungry for spoilers and rumors of what the latest edition of the show will offer. With the last season's shocker ending, who doesn't want to?

Thankfully, with the recent 2014 Comic-Con held at San Diego, our favorite Mystic Falls characters were able to dish out some tidbits of information that would at least help us get through the summer. Here's what we have so far:

1. TVD writer and producer Julie Plec dropped the hard news confirming that Damon and Bonnie, who got consumed by the white light, will never be coming back. Although, they might still make some appearances in the next season, but it would only be in a memory or flashbacks.
2. Nina Dobrev, who played as Elena Gilbert on the show, revealed that her character is upset and in grief over the passing of her lover. However, the EP established the fact that the heroine will not be rekindling old flames with Stefan.
3. Alaric's appearance in the finale proved to be a surprise for most of us, and this raised the expectation that we'll be seeing more of the hunter in the upcoming season.
4. Plec also added that some of the Originals, of which specific characters are still not yet disclosed, will be coming back.
5. Some other sources suggested that Stefan will soon realize Caroline's feelings towards him.

'The Vampire Diaries' 6th season is scheduled to get back on air on Oct. 2 on The CW. Until then, we wait.
