SpongeBob SquarePants 2 Release Date, Trailer Released

'The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water' has recently been hit with a trailer that showcases many Spongebob type antics that fans of the popular cartoon will see when the movie is launched on February 6, 2015.

Based on the popular Nickelodeon show, the upcoming film will be the second 'SpongeBob Squarepants' film to release in cinemas.

It will be exciting to see SpongeBob, Patrick, and the other characters in their newly digitized and 3D forms. As the movie takes the all-star cartoon cast out of the water, producers felt they needed an aesthetic overhaul. However, the voices for the famous sea critters will not change as Tom Kenny, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Clancy Brown, Mr. Lawrence and Carolyn Lawrence, will star in the movie.

Also, the fans are in for a real treat, as Antonio Banderas plays nasty pirate in the film. Banderas, as Alameda Jack, is after the final page of the "Magic Book" so he can make all his evil dreams come true.

Whoever has the "Magic Book" will be able to get what he wants by writing in it. It's the same magical book that makes SpongeBob become the Invincibubble, and Mr. Krabs turn into Sir Pinch-a-lot.

Additionally, Patrick will turn into Mr. Superawsomeness, Plankton gets a Hulk-like superpower, Sandy turns into a real squirrel, and Squidward becomes Sour Note.

When asked on Facebook why the production of SpongeBob decided to make a sequel of the movie, they answered that they are basically trying to improve the show.

The first SpongeBob movie released in 2004, and five years later a TV special, called 'Truth or Square', was broadcast.

The movie was supposedly scheduled to hit the big screen this year, but Paramount Pictures decided to change it. The new film will be shown a week after the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Universal Pictures film to avoid competition.
