‘The Sims 4’ Release Date: Game to Premiere September 2014, New Features and Official Gameplay Trailer [Video]
With the new tagline of The Sims 4, "Smarter Sims, Weirder Stories," EA has officially announced the launch of the game for September 2.
EA's spokesperson emphasized that the new characters will be more developmental, as they can have their attributed personalities dive into the gameplay.
According to Trusted Reviews, EA has promised that the new Sims 4, "will let you play like never before, with enhanced intelligence and emotions and making sure every action is informed and has a chain reaction."
The new trailer has shown an extended look on how the new tools will be much more exciting to use. However, it is still early to tell if the Sims will actually be "smarter" this time.
"It looks like The Sims 4 has taken the life-simulator series to the next level of realism, adding emotions, better immersion and more personalization options to the already feature-packed game. EA is drip-feeding us new features and game tweaks, so no doubt we'll have to wait until September to find out the full details," said Trusted Review.
The Sims 4 was originally planned to be released this summer, but it is said that the developers asked for a delay to have ample time to prepare the game.
The release date delay was to help "fuel [the] development process, helping The Sims 4 to be the most ambitious and the best game our studio has ever made," according to The Sims 4 VP Executive Producer Rachel Franklin.
