‘The Sims’ 4 Release Date Rumors: Game Review Copies Held Back For DLC?
One of the most anticipated simulation games, 'The Sims 4', will be released next week on September 2, however, there's a catch with the finished game's review copies.
IGN reports that Maxis and EA are withholding copies of the game that would allow legitimate sources the chance to review the game before its release. This means that no one will be granted early access to the game, even the biggest names, before the title's launch date.
CinemaBlend says that in light of this new drawback, fans have thrown their negative comments toward the game's developers. Many fans believe there is no reason to withhold the review copies of a title that's "good, finished, polished and complete."
However, a bizzare fan based theory exists that Maxis and EA have removed some of the features in the game, and intend to add them in again as DLC. Specifically, toddlers and pools will be removed from the simulation game, and are rumored to return at a small additional fee.
On a positive note, 'The Sims 4' is said to be updated to today's standards of technology. The trailer even went as far as to reveal that current and popular hashtags are incorporated into the game, hashtags likes foreveralone, #weirdneighbors and #creeper.
The official website of "Sims 4" states the game will be available in the Digital Deluxe version and the Limited Edition. Gamers can now pre-order here.
