'The Real Housewives Of New York' News: Cast Member Jules Wainstein Leaves The Show

Following the big season 8 reunion, Jules Wainstein confirmed that she will no longer return to 'The Real Housewives Of New York.'

"Overall, it was a great experience. I learned so much about myself. I learned so much about the ladies. They're all successful in different ways. I learned different things from each and every one of them," said Wainstein when she confirmed the news to "The Daily Dish."

"The best part of it, especially now, with what's going on now, the show really made me feel capable--like I felt like if I didn't have the show and this was going on I'd kind of feel lost. I feel very strong and like I got a little chutzpah. I feel empowered; it's a show about women. Listen, I'm going through the worst time in my life, but on the other hand, life isn't over and even though I'm 35, it could be the beginning," she added.

Wainstein decided to leave the show to focus on her business, Modem Alkeme, as well as her family. The "Real Housewives of New York" star said that she wanted to protect her children from "everything that's going on," referring to the controversies surrounding her divorce from her husband.

"I'm not disappearing. You're gonna see me around promoting Modem Alkeme," she said.

In June, Wainstein announced her divorce from her husband of eight years, Michael Wainstein.

In an official statement released by Bravo on Wainstein's departure, the network said: "We respect Jules' privacy in dealing with this personal matter and know she'll get through this difficult time with the support of her friends and loved ones."
