'The Purge 2: Anarchy' News: Teenagers Killing Spree Found As Hoax
A recently published article claimed that a group of teenagers went on a killing spree, taking more than a hundred lives, after being inspired by the newly released film 'The Purge: Anarchy'. However, the report was soon after revealed to be a major hoax.
The article was originally posted on CreamBmp.com, and said that the group of teens went on a rampage in Chicago killing 112 people in total. The report went on to claim that no arrests have been made as of yet, but the police have been closely monitoring social media sites, waiting for the youths to brag about their murders.
Additionally, the post went on to say that the crime spree had stemmed from the recently released, 'The Purge: Anarchy' movie, which is actually a sequel to the first film released in 2013.
It was eventually revealed that the published article was not accurate, and the teenage killing spree had never happened. Apparently, CreamBmp.com is a satirical website that creates false reports for entertainment purposes only. While this is all and well for some, many find that hoaxes like this cause great strife and panic on those who are duped.
'The Purge: Anarchy' launched in July 2014, and according to critics, was a big improvement from the first film in the series. The film focuses on the lives of the main characters who try to survive the "annual purge," which happens once a year where all forms of crime are legal from March 21 at 7 PM, to March 22 at 7 AM.
