For the upcoming second season of 'The Originals', it is believed that the resurrected parents, Mikael Mikaelson and Esther Mikaelson, who are played by Sebastian Roché and Alive Evans respectively, are going to visit Klaus, who is played by Joseph Morgan.

However, Julie Plec, the show's executive producer, teased that this will not be the only highlight of Season 2. She also said that the relationship of the couple will also be explored during the next season.

Plec told TVLine that the writers are having fun creating new storylines for Esther and Mikael.

"We know about their marriage, and we know that they made their kids into vampires, but do they like each other? Do they hate each other?" Plec said.

If the couple happened to have a conflicting past, that would make the new season more interesting.

Meanwhile, the fans are also looking out for Haylijah or the Elijah-Hayley relationship in the upcoming installment. It is reported that this relationship could face a downturn since Hayley turned into a hybrid in the previous season.

Joseph Morgan teased that Klaus, his character, will eventually have a deeper connection with Hayley. Even though their relationship might just be brother-sister or mentor-student, fans are still hoping that they develop an interesting bond.

'The Originals' Season 2 is set to return on October 6 at 8 pm EST on the CW Network.
