An all new episode of hit CBS drama "The Mentalist" airs this Sunday at 10/9c. Many fans are eager to know what will happen next in the thrilling drama. For spoilers for Sunday's episode, read on.

There is some speculation that Lisbon and the new agent, Agent Pike, will take their relationship to the level. Is marriage in their immediate future? How will Jane handle their deepening relationship? Jane clearly has feelings for Lisbon, but will he act on them? Show creator Bruno Heller offered some insight.

"With the death of Red John, there's a sense of tying [things] up and certainly this romantic angle is one of them," he said to TV Guide.

Heller continued by discussing what Lisbon wants from a relationship, and hinting that she needs to get some distance from Jane.

"In order for her to fulfill herself- even if she eventually fulfills herself with Jane, which she may or may not do- she has to find other relationships, other perspectives, other people who love her, just to feel fully who she is," Heller said to Entertainment Weekly.

He also said that Lisbon's relationship with Jane makes it hard for her to have a strong sense of identity.

"It's very important for her to be able to step away from Jane and see herself for herself," the show creator said.
