Fans of the 'Legend of Zelda' series of games will be happy to learn that new rumors about a 'The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD' claim it's going to hit shelves in the near future. While there is no exact release date for the game, reports claim that it's slated for some time in 2016.

According to researchers at Wiibrew, evidence for the upcoming title has been found on Nintendo's update servers. As it stands, there's only word about a Japanese version of the HD remake, so there's no telling whether or not it's going to be produced in English as well.

Previously, 'Twilight Princess' artwork has been found on the Nintendo network, then one day later the information was gathered about a 'The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD' listing. Since there is no conclusive evidence for a Zelda game release in 2016, this has led many gamers to believe the HD remake will be franchise title Nintendo will release.

Currently, 'The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess' is available on the Wii as well as the GameCube, so if the game was remade in HD it would surely come out on the WiiU. On that note, some gamers might be thinking that this title could possibly be released on Nintendo's latest and mysterious gaming console the Nintendo NX.

However, considering the production and released of a new Nintendo console is still far off the mark, that's unlikely.

Some gamers are considered that 'The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess' might just be ported to the WiiU without being remastered. While there is no word on whether or not that is true, fans will just have to wait for more evidence and news to be released.
