Popular television series 'The Leftovers' recently aired its sixth episode which focused mostly on the character Nora Durst. As a result of the events that took place in the episode, rumors emerged about what fans can expect as the story progresses.

Nora, played by Carrie Coon, has been hired by the government to question those who lost family members in "The Sudden Departure," and have filed claims for compensation. Nora herself is a victim of the event that made so many people vanish from the Earth, as she lost her husband and her two small children.

The government hired Nora, not to process the claims, but to dig into the past of the people who have disappeared. This way she can figure out what those who have vanished had in common. She's basically on a task force to help the government get to the bottom of the mysterious mass exodus.

As the episode progresses, Nora goes to New York City to attend the second annual Departure Related Occupations and Practices (DROP) event. Instead of attending the said event, Nora gets her ID badge stolen, so she decides to wear the 'guest' badge as she tries to look for her imposter.

Also, Nora will officially end her marriage from her missing husband, Doug. She had actually confronted the issue before she departed for New York. She met with the judge and filed for a divorce, however she also learned a shocking piece of information, as Doug had apparently cheated on her before he disappeared.

In terms of spoilers and what fans can expect, a relationship between Nora and Sheriff Kevin Garvey is on the table. As Garvey has recently divorced from his wife Laurie, things appear to be heating up the two on the show.
