‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’ Release Date News: Sneak Peek Clip, New Video Trailer Showcases Peeta [WATCH]
An exclusive clip from the upcoming film 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' has fans of the franchise reeling as it was aired on 'Good Morning America' on Nov. 6, Thursday.
The third movie from 'The Hunger Games' franchise is set to premiere in two weeks and the exclusive 41-second clip can be seen here.
As fans can recall from the previous film in the series, 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire', Katniss and Peeta returned to compete in the Quarter Quell where former Hunger Games champions were forced to face one another to the death. The two were separated from one another at the end after rescue plans went awry and Peeta was left behind, presumed dead.
However, the new clip for 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' shows that Peeta is still alive and shocked the world, including Katniss, when he appeared at a televised Capitol interview with show host Caesar.
While Peeta may be alive, things are obviously not what they seemed and Peeta did not seem to be in his right mind.
"What really happened on that final controversial night?" Caesar asked.
"You have to understand that when you're in the games, you only get one wish, and it's very costly," Peeta said.
Katniss, who is working as the symbol of the independence movement that is going against the Capitol could only watch the broadcast in shock and say, "You're alive."
'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' is directed by Francis Lawrence and written by Danny Strong and Peter Craig. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy, Julianne Moore as Alma Coin, Stanley Tucci as Caesar Flickerman, and more.
'The Hunger Games' movie franchise is based on the book series of the same name by Suzanne Collins. Its third film, 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1', will appear on the big screen on Nov. 21.
