'The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1' Release Date: Film Set to Premiere November 2014 With Additional Characters for 76th Hunger Games

The third and final installment in the 'The Hunger Games' trilogy, 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1' has been pegged its with a November 21, 2014 release date. Moviegoers can expect to see Katniss Everdeen and her friends mixed up in a large-scale rebellion against the tyrannical government called the Capitol.

Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence (as Katniss Everdeen), along with co-actors Josh Hatcherson (as Peeta Mellark) and Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne) return to the big screen in November for the latest addition to the series.

'The Hunger Games' is a sci-fi drama-adventure movie based on the book by Suzanne Collins which was published under the same name in 2008 by Scholastic Press. The first big-screen adaptation of the famed novel premiered in 2012, and was soon after followed up by the sequel, 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire', in 2013.

Both the first and second installments of the adventure film were blockbuster hits when they premiered in cinemas all over the world.

The forthcoming 'Hunger Games' movie is directed by Francis Lawrence of Will Smith's 'I Am Legend', and the movie's lead trio (Lawrence, Hatcherson, and Hemsworth) will be joined by new characters which will be introduced in the 76th annual games.

Among the new characters will be Cressida, a brave TV director who dares to follow Everdeen in her battle against the Capitol, who will be played by 'Game of Thrones' actress Natalie Dormer. Also, President Coin, covert leader of District 13 will be played by veteran actress Julianne Moore.

New Zealander singer Lorde earlier announced that she will be singing the first single off the Mockingjay soundtrack and will be solely responsible for the selection included in the Mockingjay album.

The next part of the final 'Hunger Games' installment has already been announced to premiere on November 20th of next year.
