The Hunger Games 3 Mockingjay Part 1 Release Date: Full Trailer Video Released, Hits Theaters on Nov. 21
'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1' is set for release on the big screen in less than two weeks' time and in preparation, Lionsgate has just released a full promo for the science fiction adventure film directed by Francis Lawrence.
In the recently released trailer, viewers will see Katniss Everdeen (portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence) getting extremely emotional when she sees Peeta (played by Josh Hutcherson) on TV. Katniss sees Peeta being interviewed by Caesar Flickerman (Stanley Tucci), and it appears to be a live broadcast from the Capitol.
When Katniss sees the broadcast she is with Gale (Liam Hemsworth) as well as the remaining District 13. The broadcast definitely surprises Katniss, who stares at the screen and utters, "You're alive."
Fans will recall that in earlier movie titled 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire', Katniss and Peeta were in the games while Katniss shot an arrow toward the sky, shattering the game dome. Soon, Katniss is rescued by the rebels, as she would become their Mockingjay, an icon of hope. On the other hand, Peeta remained inside the dome.
Since then, Katniss was completely unaware of Peeta's fate. She did not know whether Peeta is alive or not, or his whereabouts. While seeing Peeta alive is good news for Katniss, she also faces some bad news. It is revealed that the Capitol is utilizing Peeta as their weapon, similar to what the rebels are doing with Katniss.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Francis Lawrence said, "Obviously he becomes an objective for her, but Gale is right there, so that's always a tricky situation."
Lawrence was actually referring to Katniss, who has two men in her life and still faces another challenge.
'Mockingjay Part 1' will pick up right where 'Catching Fire' left off, which showcases the war between the rebels and the Capitol.
Francis Lawrence told the website, "There are definitely some battles. There are some of the first glimpses of real war in this movie. And the scale gets quite big. There's an atonal shift from some of the last movies, but they're still very emotional, very sweeping, [on a] grand scale with some levity and humor."
'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1' will hit the theaters on Nov. 21.
