'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1’ News, Latest Update: New Trailer Out, Plot Details Revealed
The third sequel of the blockbuster franchise 'Hunger Games' has already been scheduled to air on November 21.
The second movie, 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' concluded with Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) rescued by Gale (Liam Hemsworth) and several other rebels after the barrier surrounding the games was destroyed.
The moment Katniss regained consciousness, she immediately looks for Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson), who was caught by the Capitol even before Gale had the chance to rescue him, leaving Katniss confused, disheartened and filled with rage all at the same time.
'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1' once again puts heroine Katniss Everdeen on the spotlight as the "mockingjay," as she leads a group of District 13 rebels into battle.
The trailer revealed Katniss talking to President Snow (Donald Sutherland) saying that she never wanted to be involved in the games at all, lest a rebellion.
President Snow replied that "the things we love the most in life tend to destroy us," a cryptic message that may be pertaining to Katniss scheming up a rebellion towards the Capitol.
Meanwhile, the trailer also showed that a number of people from the different districts formed a rebellion against the Capitol and an attack against the Peacekeepers.
The most interesting turn of events that the audience will expect in the upcoming movie is that Peeta will take the side of the Capitol.
President Snow released a video from the Capitol TV showing Peeta and explaining the benefits of peace and the consequences of war. Peeta seemed unfazed and quite apathetic in the videos, which leave the viewers to wonder how did the Capitol manage to turn Peeta to their side?
Unfazed, Katniss continues to insist that her team rescue Peeta no matter what.
"You will rescue Peeta at the earliest opportunity, or you will find another Mockingjay," the heroine exclaimed.
'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1' will premiere on Nov. 20 in Australia and Nov. 21 in Canada, United Kingdom and United States.
