‘The Hateful Eight’ Premiere Date: Quentin Tarantino to Start Filming Early 2015; Movie Poster Released
Quentin Tarantino's 'The Hateful Eight' is confirmed to start filming early 2015 with a target release sometime towards the end of next year. Web leaks of the film script, set in Wyoming after the Civil War, threatened the cancellation of the project, but public interests remain heightened especially since the American director and screenwriter aim to shoot in Super CinemaScope.
'The Hateful Eight' casts Bruce Dern, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Madsen, Kurt Russell, James Remar, Amber Tamblyn, Walton Goggins, and Zoe Bell. Although there are possibilities of minor changes, fans can expect a full house of veteran actors and actresses.
A description of the film reads, "follows the steadily ratcheting tension that develops after a blizzard diverts a stagecoach from its route, and traps a pitiless and mistrustful group which includes a competing pair of bounty hunters, a renegade Confederate soldier, and a female prisoner in a saloon in the middle of nowhere."
The movie poster is understandably minimalist given its old-fashioned theme - three horses carrying a wagon with strains of blood on their tails. Though it does not fail to solicit interest among spectators, critics said that it certainly poses more questions than answers.
Aside from Tarantino, J.J Abrams is also among the band of few filmmakers who experiment on shooting movies the traditional way in the 21st century, "Film sets the standard for quality. There's something about film that is undeniably beautiful, undeniably organic and natural and real," the 'Star Wars Episode VII' director said, "Screening in digital format is like turning on the television. That's not what film is about," he added.
