'The Good Wife' Season 6 Spoilers: New Season to Focus on Relationship Between Peter, Alicia

While fans will have to wait until September 21 for the Season 6 premiere of CBS Network's The Good Wife, show co-creator Robert King has already disclosed a major spoiler for the next installment of the series.

Julianna Marguiles' character Alicia Florrick is in an unconventional marriage to Peter (portrayed by Chris North) after he was imprisoned for his alleged involvement in a humiliating sex and corruption scandal. Consequently, it is necessary for Alicia to take care of her family in the capacity of a lawyer in a law firm. Nevertheless, King says that in the upcoming season of The Good Wife, their marriage assumes a much bigger role.

In an interview with TVLine, King said that in the new season they would like to explore the relationship between the couple whose public marriage has extremely personal understandings, "It all comes down to (actor) availability, but yes," King said.

"How does that work? Can it work? Is it truly possible that you can have an agreement with your spouse that the sexual relationship is over and the love has to be put on hold, even though we're going to use each other for what power we can give each other," King wondered, adding, "Chris (Noth) and Jules (Marguiles) seem very willing to take us there, so we're up for it."

King further said that The Good Wife Season 6 will include a "bigger battlefield," in addition to a "new chapter" for Alicia. Moreover, The Good Wife fans can also expect to see plenty of Matthew Goode, who portrays the character of the prosecutor in the State Attorney's Office Finn Polmar. After Finn became the center of a political storm in Season 5, the actor has been promoted to a series regular.
