The Good Wife Season 5 Spoilers, Rumors: Alicia and Diane's Decision Central to Plot Line
Following a tumultuous and nail-biting season, the CBS legal drama "The Good Wife" is ready to wrap up this Sunday. The finale of Season 5, which will be aired at 9:00 p.m. ET on May 19, is expected to be so interesting that no fan will want to miss it.
According to the producers of the show, the finale will leave fans with "a real sense that a new chapter is starting." This leaves a lot for the viewers to speculate.
A recently leaked synopsis of the finale (episode 22) on the Internet says that Florrick Agos' law firm is tested after a camera's open feed line is left on after a teleconference between lawyers of Florrick Agos and Lockhart Gardner.
Alicia and Cary have an intense confrontation, and viewers will see growing tension between the pair. Loyalty has always been a big issue between the pair, particularly since the death of Will Gardener.
In the previous episode, we saw Alice volunteering to assist her rival Diane Lockhart in a case, which not only left Cary speechless, but also displeased. While this was the most recent row between the characters, things will eventually be aired in a big way in the finale.
We will also see two special guest stars Mary Beth Peil (Peter's mother Jackie) and Stockard Channing (Alicia's mother Veronica) in the final episode of this season.
What remains to be seen is whether these two ladies enter into a feud or join hands to prevent Peter and Alicia's divorce.
Moreover, Peter is already tempted by a young lady in his office and it will be interesting to see whether he gives in to the temptation or fights to save his marriage.
Talking to TVLine, executive producer Robert King said, "A lot is swinging on Alicia and Diane's decisions."
