‘The Good Wife’ Mid-Season 6 Finale Episode 10 Recap, Spoilers News: ‘The Trial’ Cary is Guilty?

Before 'The Good Wife' paused for its mid-season break, Sunday's episode revealed what the entire sixth season has been leading up to; Cary finally goes to trial.

The trial begins on a negative note as Judge Cuesta is in a sour mood because he wanted to get tickets for a Neil Diamond concert for his anniversary. He was also given the wrong muffin from his assistant, so even before the trial begins, the judge is already cranky.

Judge Cuesta then called Geneva Pine, Diane, and Cary into the judge's chamber to try and reach a settlement before the trial begins.

Geneva initially offered a plea deal of 10 years, which was later reduced to six years, if Cary would plead guilty on his charges.

However, both parties refused to make a deal so he was forced to quickly go through the process of jury selection, in order to be at the concert venue by 5:30 pm to score last minute tickets to the show.

Evidently, Cary didn't take the deal because he knew he was innocent, and thought he had a fighting chance for his exoneration.

The wiretap evidence against him, wherein he told Lemond Bishop's men to smuggle $1.3 million worth of heroin in order to avoid jail time, was apparently edited.

In addition, he refused the plea bargain agreement because he knew that if he pleaded guilty, he would be tagged as a felon and would have no chance of appealing the case.

During the actual trial, Bishop produced a witness who could help Cary get off, but then he had Dante change his testimony on order incriminate Cary.

Bishop then offered Cary a deal, he can either try his luck with the jury and see how the trial ends, he can go to Barcelona and work for Bishop, or he can take the new deal- plead guilty and he will serve for four years, two with good behavior.

At the end of the episode, Cary took the new deal and pleaded guilty.

Fans of 'The Good Wife' will have to wait until January to catch the next episode set to air on CBS.
