Adam Crabb and Todd Suttles Named New Members of The Gaither Vocal Band. Bill Gaither describes the process and shares his excitement on the new additions.

Founder of the band Bill Gaither says it was a long process finding new members for the group. Last October they publically announced that there would be changes to the band and after several auditions and careful consideration, Gaither announced via YouTube, new members, Crabb and Suttles.

Crabb is popularly known for his years of musical abilities on-stage and in the studio. Once a member of the award-winning Crabb Family for 15 years, Crabb pursued a solo career as a worship leader for the past six years and has been very successful.

Gaither is grateful and excited about the future of the band. He released a statement on his site describing his enthusiasm on Crabb joining the group.

"For decades now, we have reinvented the Gaither Vocal Band again and again, and in the process we have found some of the most incredible male singers and wonderful human beings on the planet. Adam is a very exciting addition to this 30-year legacy of excellence," he said.

The fifth member Suttles took a bit longer to find. Gaither and the remaining members took gifted guest artists out on the tour with them as they sought the perfect fit.

Suttles was picked although he is brand new to music industry. He spent the last 20 years working at a Vanderbilt University as the head of the sports training program.

"Our people are going to love him, He is the energizer bunny. To have the texture of Todd's voice and the heart of Adams voice, we are going to have a lot of fun here... It's hard for this old man to even try and keep up with," Gaither said about his two new members

The lineup of the band changes often, with artists leaving to work on solo careers, and new ones coming to replace them. The group was named after its founder and leader Gaither. Wes Hampton and David Phelps have stayed on board with the group for the past few seasons.

The Grammy award-winning band is known for its authentic vocal ability in contemporary Christian music and southern gospel and has gained much popularity from the Gaither Homecoming videos.

The Gaither Vocal Band has released 27 albums in total (not including compilations)
