'The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers: Upcoming Season Likely to Explore Firestorm’s Powers

Recently, Robbie Amell, whom fans of 'The Flash' know as Ronnie - the inflammable half of Firestorm, shared lots of details regarding his character and also spoke at length regarding what is in store for the superhero when the show returns for its second season on The CW this fall.

Christian Today reports that talking to Screen Rant to talk Amell discussed the slew of abilities possessed by Firestorm that viewers are yet to see. The actor disclosed that originally the Season 1 finale of 'The Flash' wanted to look at the immense powers of the argumentative superhero, but the plan did not push through.

According to the 'Duff' actor, "There's a scene where Danielle [Panabaker]'s character is checking my temperature and giving me the once-over. I call Victor in the room and we merge, and I turn her thermometer into a daffodil," the actor told the aforementioned website. "It was just like a really nice, sweet way of showing... because she's asking if we're going to be OK, and I'm like, 'Actually, we're getting pretty good at this whole Firestorm thing.' And we merge without even missing a beat and turn that into a flower."

He disclosed that despite the fact that it was "a nice moment," it didn't make it to the action-packed Season 1 finale because "it didn't hold any bearing on the plot." He, however, hopes that this "matter manipulation" thing will be further explored in 'The Flash' season 2.

"There's so much they can do with this character. My biggest fear with the character was that he was too powerful. I think that sometimes that can be an issue," Amell said.

Now, it remains to be seen what the series creators has got ready for Amell as well as his character. Victor Garber, who portrays the character of Dr. Martin Stein a.k.a. the other half of Firestorm, will be starring in the 'Arrow/ The Flash' spin-off titled 'Legends of Tomorrow.' As of now, there is no news that Amell will also be joining him.

Melty reports that in 'The Flash' Season 2, the show will work out a way for Stein and Ronnie to summon and become Firestorm without bonding, which will actually clarify the absence of Amell in the spin off.

Meanwhile, it is worth mentioning here that in the comics, Ronnie dies and Stein is given a new Firestorm buddy, Jason Matrix, which may possibly be portrayed by Franz Drameh.
