'The Flash' Premiere Date, Spoilers, Live Stream Free: Troubled Romance for Barry Allen, Tuesday Night Debut, Oct. 7

Fans of the iconic DC superhero, The Flash, will be thrilled to know that the legendary speedster will be appearing in his own TV series, slated to premier on the CW this Tuesday. The show's producers, Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, are hoping that the success of the wildly popular 'Arrow' will catapult them into this new venture.

While CW's 'Arrow' brings some darker themes and tones with its plot, 'The Flash' will be comparatively lighter. Convincing special effects and super villains will bring about an overall "fluffiness" which is sure to hook younger viewers without troubling their parents.

The show will star Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, a socially awkard scientist with a sour history- his father in jail for the murder of Barry's mother. He was raised by the Central City Det. Joe West played by Jesse L. Martin and works as a crime scene investigator for the police.

However, when a fateful accident in a particle accelerator zaps him with supercharged lightning, he gains the ability to run faster than the speed of light. He then uses his newfound powers to combat crime, as well as solve the mystery behind his mother's murder.

In addition to Grant, the series will also debut Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells, the mad scientist behind the particle accelerator who wants Barry to use his newfound powers for his selfish ambitions.

The show will also explore Barry's possible love interest with Joe's daughter Iris, portrayed by Candice Patton, but since they've grown up together, he has trouble expressing his true feelings for her.

Look out for 'The Flash' premiering on Tuesday, October 7 at 8 pm on the CW. The premiere can be watched online by clicking here.
