'The Flash' Pilot Episode Spoilers, Release Date & Extended Trailer Video
The pilot episode of CW Network's newest superhero series, The Flash, was recently leaked online. This enabled spoilers to emerge onto the web, and interested fans can get an in-depth glimpse of what to expect with its premiere this Fall.
Episode one begins with a child Barry Allen, who witnesses his mother's murder, but is quickly drawn away from the scene by a strange gold and red flash of lightening. Allen is the only party involved in the "flash" because his father, in the mean time, is held up in prison.
Stepping forward through time, Barry is now an adult, who holds a position as a crime scene investigator. The "average joe" is shockingly stunned into a coma by a random lightening strike. After waking up from the coma, Barry Allen begins to discover the extent of his new super powers. The Flash is born, as Barry Allen can now move at incredible speeds.
The final moments of the episode end with a cliff-hanger, one random character is spotted reading a newspaper from the year 2024 with the headline: "Flash missing: Vanishes in crisis."
Many speculate that this will involve the Infinite Crisis storyline from the comic book series, which in turn would result in the appearance of other Justice League superheroes.
CW Network's pilot release quickly drew attention from all ends, including Arrow lead actor, Stephen Amell who tweeted on May 21st, "The #Flash pilot is excellent. Congratulations to @ziking11, @grantgust and all involved!!"
According to the network's posted schedule, The Flash will air Tuesday nights at 8/7c starting this Fall.
