Only a few months remain before 'The Equalizer' hits the theaters on September 26, 2014. Denzell Washington who plays Robert McCall is said to be 'the Equalizer', co-starred by the young Chloe Grace Moretz. Both take on a thrilling journey as they serve vengeance against anyone who would brutalize the helpless.

The renowned Antoine Fuqua is the director of the film and the screenplay is written by Richard Wenk. The film is said to be based on the television series 'The Equalizer' created by Michael Sloan and Richard Lindheim.

According to Sony Pictures, Moretz, who plays Teri, is under the control of ultra-violent Russian gangsters which at first would seem helpless, but is later on discovered that she possessed unique abilities. Washington, who enjoys his retirement as he lives a quiet life after being a former operations commando, puts it aside to rescue Moretz from the Russian gangsters.

The two have developed a unique relationship that pushed Washington to somehow go back to his old dark ways just to rescue the young Moretz. Although this time, it may challenge Washington since the story shifts into the Russian gangsters taking him down as he becomes a great distressing factor in their operation.

The film is heroic in nature, but has some dark elements as the action sequences were reported to be very hardcore. Washington is said to exude some kind of cold-heartedness in several scenes of the film.

Reports claim that the audiences will be left with their mouths open as they are treated to a fast-paced thrilling action movie. The trailer itself was phenomenal and definitely exciting. In a matter of seconds, Washington puts down a group of the Russian Mafia members who allegedly took the young Moretz.

Denzel Washington is also one of the producers of the film and Moretz and they are accompanied by actors Melissa Leo, Marton Csokas and Haley Bennett.
