Following the massively successful film The Conjuring, starring Patrick Wilson, Verma Farmiga, and Ron Livingston in 2013, talks about the release date of its follow-up, The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist have started circling about as early as last year.

According to IMDB.com, one of the leading online resources for movie content, The Conjuring 2 is set to be released in October of 2015. Although the story plot of the highly anticipated sequel has not yet been disclosed, the producers have confirmed that the script will still be written by Chad and Carey Hayes, the same team who interviewed the real Lorraine Warren, a paranormal expert whose book served as an inspiration for the original movie.

In the film, Warren and her husband Ed were asked to help the Perrons who recently moved into a shabby farm house in Rhode Island which turned out to be haunted, the family had since been plagued by demons regardless of their attempts to evade them. The Warrens had to rely on their expert skills and strength of their spiritual faith in order to save the family.

In the meantime, Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema are currently facing charges of copyright violation filed by Evergreen Media Group and Tony Grund in March of this year. Evergreen claims that any further production of The Conjuring sequels are paralleled to theft because they maintain that they have underlying rights to the case files of the reputed paranormal experts.

New Line Cinema on the other hand has strongly affirmed that they have filed a claim for the "Conjuring" TV series rights against Evergreen Media Group last year. The case is said to be in arbitration.

It's not clear whether the ongoing cases have any effect on the Enfield Poltergeist production and no official statements have been released.

New Line Cinema is also the producer for Annabelle, a spin-off from the original movie The Conjuring, whose story revolves around the possessed doll of the same name in the 2013 movie. Annabelle is set to be released in October of this year.
